Sakura-Con 2006 announces additional guests

Sakura-Con 2006 is pleased to welcome Liam O'Brien. Liam O'Brien is the Director of the English adaptation of GunXsword (TV). Additionally Liam is known as a Director on several well known series such as DearS(TV) and Boys Be..(TV). He has appeared as a vocal talent in seemingly countless anime, including such well known titles as: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, His and Her Circumstances, Koi Kaze, Comic Party and DNA2.

Sakura-Con is pleased to welcome back Mr. Fred Gallagher. Fred Gallagher is a comic artist and creator. He is best known as the artist and co-creator of MegaTokyo. MegaTokyo is a very popular web and published comic written and drawn in a manga-influenced style by Mr. Gallagher.

Renewing our tie with a set of much beloved local talents; Sakura-Con is pleased to welcome back the creators of Penny Arcade. Penny Arcade is a webcomic written by Jerry Holkins and illustrated by Mike Krahulik. It is among the most popular webcomics currently online. Equal parts comics and commentary, Penny Arcade features Tycho and Gabe, the alter egos of creators Mike and Jerry.

Ancea is proud to present Sakura-Con 2006. Sakura-Con is an annual three day gathering of enthusiasts and professionals interested in Japanese Animation (anime), comics (manga), and Asian culture. The convention features a wide array of activities and programming such as: industry guests, dances, demonstrations, cosplay (costuming), contests, discussion panels, film screenings and much more. These events run 24 hours a day Friday and Saturday and til sundown Sunday to ensure non-stop entertainment. Indeed, attendees may be afraid to sleep for fear of missing the fun.

Please join us this year for Sakura-Con 2006 as we gather with thousands of enthusiasts to explore the contemporary and traditional cultures of East Asia.

ANCEA is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about Asian popular and traditional culture. They organize several events every year in order to promote this goal. Sakura-Con is the largest of these events.
