Akimatsuri is an annual 1-day event, held in the late fall and serves as a light version of the main Anime Evolution summer convention, with a style based upon on the school, cultural and seasonal festivals held in Japan. It also includes many of the traditional Anime Evolution events on a smaller scale including panels, video and AMV showings, gaming, artists, and vendors.
